one of the first days that feels like spring – yay! it’s time to make some art outside! that means we can get super messy. while N was napping, i decided that when she awoke, i wanted to paint the bottoms of her feet to have her walk all over butcher paper to make a foot painting. hey, why not?
i chose four analogous colors for the painting, and used acrylic paints. i had a large roll of brown butcher paper laying around, and thought that’d make a nice long runway for her little feet. it was time for the messy part to begin! i started with N’s favorite color: “purple first, mommy!”
she danced around happily, making purple, blue, green, and white footprints all over the page. after we scrubbed her feet and toenails, we proudly surveyed the results…
these make great keepsake items or can be cut into greeting cards for the g-pas and g-mas out there, too! regardless of what the product is, the process was a thrill for my little one, and that’s what counts most!
